IPTAY Welcomes Robbins as Director of Communications

IPTAY CEO Davis Babb announced the hiring of Brooke Robbins as the organization’s Director of Communications.

In her role as the IPTAY Director of Communications, Robbins will lead all external communications and media relations strategies, conveying the “One-IPTAY” mission to current and prospective donors through traditional and new media. Robbins will have oversight of the IPTAY branding efforts and will serve as lead editor of ORANGE: The Experience magazine, which is distributed to IPTAY members six times per year. Robbins will lead a communications team charged with creating IPTAY-related content, donor spotlights, internal materials, program features, and staff columns.

Brooke brings a wealth of knowledge and a tireless work ethic to IPTAY, which are vitally important as IPTAY continues to expand the support that it offers to Clemson athletics.”

Robbins comes to IPTAY by way of Purdue University, where she served as the Associate Director of Revenue Strategy after a successful stint as the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives in West Lafayette. Robbins’ responsibilities encompassed coordinating all revenue-generating communication, including but not limited to; ticket sales, capital projects, business initiatives, fundraising, multimedia rights, and other key department priorities. She also managed marketing and communication efforts for the John Purdue Club, overseeing email distribution, mail, website, social media, digital advertising, crowdfunding campaigns, media distribution, and gift proposals.

Before Purdue, Robbins was the Advancement Officer for Direct Marketing (Athletics) at Marquette University. She was responsible for aligning strategy across multiple entities, including athletics communications and marketing, university communications, and the annual giving program. She also spent time as the Leadership Annual Giving Coordinator for the Ball State University Foundation.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Brooke is a graduate of Otterbein University (Westerville, OH), where she earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management. She earned her master’s degree in sport administration from Ball State University in 2016.
