Davis Babb

Position:

Consultant

After 13 years as IPTAY Chief Executive Officer, Davis now serves as a consultant to the IPTAY leadership team and staff. He transitioned into this role after his retirement on June 30, 2026.

Davis was named the first Chief Executive Officer of IPTAY in 2013. His tenure as CEO has helped IPTAY grow to new heights with significant increases annually in annual giving, major gifts, the addition of premium seating, facility growth and expansion, and increased support provided to Clemson Athletics and the hundreds of student-athletes.

During his 13-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer, Davis oversaw $888M in total contributions to the One-IPTAY enterprise. During that time, IPTAY Annual Fund total giving doubled, major gift annual totals continually increased, and the IPTAY organization as a whole grew exponentially. Throughout those 13 years, Clemson has won multiple National Championships, dozens of ACC Championships, set records in the classroom with team GPAs and APR scores, started four new athletic programs, and built or renovated over 15 facilities.

Also during Babb’s time at Clemson, he helped establish the Athletic Cornerstone Partner Program. Beginning in 2015, the Cornerstone program now has 29 donors who have made 36 gifts of $2.5M or more totaling more than $165 million and counting. This program has helped change the trajectory of Clemson Athletics.

Prior to IPTAY, Davis served TCU as associate athletic director for external affairs and interim athletics director –positions that involved projects to increase corporate revenue and ticket sales, serving as liaison to the alumni association, and supervising media relations, marketing and promotions.

Before TCU, he was athletics director at the Virginia Military Institute and previously coached the Furman University women’s tennis team for two years.
