Ashby Burton
Ashby came to Clemson in June of 2019 on IPTAY’s Marketing and Communication staff and now serves as the Director of Strategic Communication for IPTAY. He spent two years as the Director of Marketing and Fan Experience for Clemson Athletics before returning to IPTAY in his current role in 2024.
In his role, Ashby oversees the communications team and initiatives for IPTAY including digital presence, email communications, Orange: The Experience magazine, assists with special initiatives, works closely with Clemson Athletic external units, and supports the IPTAY Management Team. Additionally, he has served as a staff advisor to the IPTAY Student Advisory Board in each of his years at Clemson.
Ashby graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 with degrees in Business Administration and Communication Studies and completed a M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication in August of 2022. After graduation in 2018, he worked for a year in UNCW’s Athletic Department on the marketing team.
Ashby resides in Pendleton, SC, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching any and all college athletic events, and playing pickleball. In the spring, you can find Ashby in Doug Kingsmore Stadium where he serves as the in-game host for Clemson Baseball – a role he has has since the 2024 season.
