Supporting the Success of Clemson Men’s Soccer

For more than 100 years, your Tigers have been competing at the highest levels for conference and national championships. Today, Clemson athletics boasts 21 programs, and our men’s soccer program led by 14-year veteran Head Coach Mike Noonan is among the nation’s elite. The 2023 season was historic for the program as they upended ACC-foe Notre Dame, 2-1, to win the 2023 Men’s Soccer National Championship. The victory marked the Tigers’ fourth national title, joining the 1984, 1987, and 2021 teams.

The Tigers have claimed five ACC tournament titles, earned 36 berths into the NCAA tournament, and have advanced to the NCAA College Cup ten times including becoming the National Runner-Up in 2015. In addition to the team accolades, 26 players have been drafted in the MLS Super Draft since 2014, including a school-record six Tigers being selected in 2022. Three Clemson student-athletes were drafted in the first round of the 2021 draft, a first in program history. The Clemson coaching staff has twice been named the NCAA Division I Men’s Coaching Staff of the Year in 2015 and 2021. Additionally, three times in the program’s history has a player been selected as the Mac Hermann Trophy Recipient, college soccer’s most prestigious honor.

The Soccer Operations Complex completed in the fall of 2020 is an outward example of the commitment to success for years to come. Located next to the soccer practice fields, the facility provides approximately 13,000 square feet of space for both the men’s and women’s programs. The home of Clemson Soccer includes locker rooms, coaches’ offices, an athletic training room, an outdoor patio that overlooks the practice fields, and more. Coach Noonan and his staff have continued our program’s great history of success. As a member of the most competitive soccer league in the country, the Atlantic Coast Conference, he needs your support to provide the tools to keep us there. With the momentum surrounding our program and our new Soccer Operations Complex, now is the time to provide our coaching staff with additional yearly funding for recruiting efforts and player development. These are both key components that are necessary to maintain our winning program year after year. We need your philanthropic support of the Clemson United Fund to keep our men’s soccer program at the top, where we have been for more than six decades.

Are you ready to step onto the pitch with them and help keep our Tigers at the top of the ACC and beyond? A gift to the Clemson United Fund will significantly impact our men’s soccer program and the young men who make us so proud.

Men's Soccer Head Coach Mike Noonan

IPTAY is the LIFEBLOOD of our men’s soccer program. The work of IPTAY is UNIQUE from any other athletic fundraising group I have encountered because it is HOLISTIC and PURPOSEFUL in its mission. It is one of the organizations that SEPARATES Clemson and makes our University such a special place.
